Andalusia
The region Andalusia, or around the coast also called: Costa del Sol , is situated in the outer south of Spain and attracts tourists for short stays, but also for permanent or long stays. At this moment, there are more than 1 million foreigners with properties, and among them, 20 % can be called resident of Spain . The majority owns the real estate as a second home or they see it as an investment for the future.
The most important of this region is his good position; the sun hours in Andalusia make this place so popular. The temperature is very pleasant, also in wintertime. But this region has more qualities: only a few hours away, you will find the Sierra Nevada mountains with their ultra modern ski slopes. Golf is very popular on the Costa del Sol . That is the reason why they call it Golf Coast . Other (water)sports can also be practiced. And, when you go to the inland, you will find several protected nature parks.
Spain , and especially Andalusia , has become famous for its rich gastronomy. There are a lot of excellent bars-restaurants where they serve delicious snacks and more exclusive places are also easy to find. The nightlife offers various discotheques or you can visit an impressive flamenco spectacle. |
